Debbie is a partner in the law firm of Zateeny Loftus, LLP.  Debbie has over 35 years of experience as a corporate and tax attorney, focusing on tax-exempt organizations.  Her clients’ operations are international, national, regional, and local in scope.  They include universities, health systems, hospitals, private foundations, and organizations devoted to cultural, international and local aid, community development, research, and amateur sports activities.  Debbie also represents non-charitable tax-exempt organizations, including governmental instrumentalities, business leagues, and social clubs.  Debbie has frequently lectured on a variety of tax issues at seminars sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Penn State Tax Conference, and PICPA Foundation.

Prior to forming Zateeny Loftus, LLP, Debbie practiced law for eleven years with Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP in Philadelphia. Debbie taught at the University of Pennsylvania Law School from 1984 until joining Ballard Spahr in 1993. Prior to teaching at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Debbie was associated with Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP and Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP. Debbie has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Non-Profit/Charities Law and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
